I'm actually looking for a new job myself so if you wanna move to worcester you can have my current job by all means, however I'm guessing you wouldn't want it no matter how desperate things became

You'd be surprised mate, and from what I hear it seemed quite a few companies these days are taking similar approaches.
Basically anymore that 2 sick periods over a rolling 9 months will lead to disiplinary action. It's total bull and only punishes the genuine people who have valid reasons for not being at work

mind you alot of these firms think they can make the rules up as the go along....i would check out the leagalities in this you mind find they are breaking the law
